Family Field Day

I'm officially back in the "swing of things." Today was Family Field Day. All students and their families participated in various events such as tug-of-war, egg relays, football/frisbee/kickball derby, balloon towel volleyball, and water races. Yes, a random assortment of events. I was the official at the egg relay and wow was it exciting! In reality, the tug-of-war was the most exciting so most of my pictures are of that event.

I am currently frantically grading papers from my 3 week absence, teaching, and creating exams for all my classes. Continue to pray for endurance for students and teachers. Everyone is ready for summer!

First of all, thank you for all of your prayers and support. I am back in Hungary! I received my visa on Monday and flew out of Montgomery on Saturday morning. I arrived in Hungary Sunday morning and I most definitely was at school 24 hours later teaching! Please pray for jet lag, I'm so exhausted and confused. However, my students have been so understanding and patient with me! With less than 4 weeks left of school, the end is definitely in sight. Please pray for endurance for both teachers and students!

Today in 8th grade we finished reading "High Noon" which is a western screenplay. Can I just tell you how hysterical it was. Most of the students were clueless about western terminology AND they were not used to reading a screenplay so I definitely acted out part of the play. For example, firing from behind cover, drawing a gun, describing what the butt of a gun was as well as what spurs are, and the best...a shoot out. I wish you could have seen it. Absolutely hysterical. I should have been an actress...

Back to Hungary

I just received my visa from the Hungarian government which means that I am returning to Hungary for the remainder of the school year on Saturday, May 12th. Please pray for safe travel! I will still be coming back to the United States this summer on June 15th. Yes, I will only be back in Hungary for about a month before I come BACK to the United States.
